A recent photo shoot for OK! Magazine

With nearly 20 years experience taking photos for the likes of Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire (click here to see my commercial website), I'm really happy to use those same skills while taking photos at your wedding. The reaction I consistently get is that I perfectly capture the spirit of the day.

Documentary photo Style

"We were absolutely thrilled with our wedding photographs. Liz was truly brilliant on the day - calm, relaxed and delivering everything we asked for, despite staying 'in the background' - We really couldn't be happier." Nichola and Alex

"I knew the pictures would be good, but these are a different league. I'm blown away. More than anything you have captured the spirit of the day which was pure happiness and lots of fun. We have some terrific memories that I'll treasure forever." Lyndsey and Ben

The majority of the pictures tend not to be set up, rather the real day is recorded. Together with my assistant Danielle, we cover the wedding in a candid way making sure we catch all those great moments and reactions.  We're there for as long as you want us to be there. But a lot of the pictures are taken on a long lens, so we promise we won't be getting in the way !  I won't be asking you to perform, preferring that most of the photos happen naturally.  If you want a more stage managed approach of hats been thrown up and brides lifted in the air then I may not be the right photographer for you.  The aim always is for a mainly no-cheese approach!

Formal Photos

"We couldn't have chosen a better photographer. Liz did an amazing job with our pics despite difficult weather conditions and she made everyone at the wedding feel comfortable in front of the camera. Liz really did contribute to making our day extra special in every way." Laura and Mark

So, having said that some set up photos are nice (although not obligatory) !  I don't want them to take over your day, but to complement the reportage pictures, a few organised ones do work well. You'll probably want some family and friend group shots, but I'm quick, it'll be ok !  Then, you'll want some of you and your partner looking gorgeous.  We'll find a great location and you get to hang out together for 20 minutes or so, ignoring me if you prefer, and I'll get those photos of you looking .

A Studio at your Reception

photo studio

"Setting up a studio in the evening was the icing on the cake, the informality of it meant that even the most shy guests came out of their shells." Lyndsey and Ben

Another service I offer is a photo studio at your night do. Using professional lighting, in a cordoned-off area of the reception venue, a studio can be created which becomes part of the night entertainment. Individuals, groups and couples can come and have a fun photo shoot - smiling, relaxed, drink in hand! This seems to work incredibly well, the photos are such a vibrant record of the wedding while being shot in a more structured and beautifully lit style.

Some couples like props to be available for guests, others like to keep it simple.  It's up to you.

Either the studio can be part of your wedding photography package, or you can book me just for the studio.
